Another Cost of Living payment of £150 will be made during June and July, if you receive certain disability benefits. Read on to find out more.
Who Will Get The Payment?
People who get the following benefits will receive the upcoming Cost of Living payment:
- Attendance Allowance
- Constant Attendance Allowance
- Disability Living Allowance for Adults
- Disability Living Allowance for Children
- Personal Independence Payment
- Adult Disability Payment in Scotland
- Child Disability Payment in Scotland
- Armed Forces Independence Payment*
- War Pension Mobility Supplement*
Most of these benefits are managed by the DWP, but two are managed by the Ministry of Defence (MoD). The MoD-managed benefits are marked with an asterix.
You must have received a payment from one of these benefits since 1 April 2023 (or get one before June 2023)in order to get this Cost of Living payment.
When Will I Be Paid?
The money will be paid automatically into your bank account between 20th June and 4th July 2023, if you are eligible.
If you have started to receive one of the above qualifying benefits after 1 April, or you have recently changed the account that your benefit is paid into, your Cost of Living payment may be delayed slightly.
Payments will be made to people who receive their benefits from the DWP before those who will receive them from the Ministry of Defence.
More Information
If you get a qualifying benefit from the MoD and also a qualifying benefit from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), you will only get one Cost of Living payment of £150. This will come from the DWP.
If you receive the £150 Cost of Living payment and it is later found out you were not eligible for it, you may be required to pay it back.
