Impact Of Industrial Action In Buckinghamshire – January 2023

As you may know, many organisations and services are going out on strike. BuDS has identified and complied below the dates of various strike action, and assessed the impact it will have on the people of Buckinghamshire. It is important to remember that organisations may be represented by multiple Unions, and not all Unions will be taking part in strikes. This can complicate the overall picture.

The additional dates announced on 20 January for strikes by the Ambulance Service will not impact Buckinghamshire. This is because not enough members of the UNITE union in this area voted to strike. However, the strikes on 6 February and 20 February will impact Bucks – see below for details.

Below is a table which shows the dates of announced strikes, the organisations striking, and our estimate of the impact on Buckinghamshire. There may be more dates announced in the future, or more striking organisations/unions – this table only covers those we are able to identify at time of writing.
