This information is about the 2022/23 Warm Home Discount Scheme
The Warm Home Discount Scheme gives you a one-off amount of credit for one of your energy accounts
To get the discount, you need to be on a Low Income benefit or Guarantee Credit element of Pension Credit
Your credited energy account may be for gas
Your credited energy account may be for electricity
Your credited energy account may be for both gas and electricity
You will only receive credit on one energy account
The money does not come to you
The money goes to your energy supplier, and is deducted from your bill
You will have had a letter in January 2023 if you are eligible to receive this discount
The discount is applied automatically: you do not need to do anything
This scheme is not available in Northern Ireland
