Disabled People in the Dark about Service Changes

It can be very difficult to keep up with changes and plan ahead. This is why BUDS is always researching into changes and publishing details for disabled people. But BuDS is often told by the NHS and councils that disabled people do know what is changing. So we decided to test this by holding a survey.

During the summer of 2019 BuDS did an online survey asking about disabled people’s knowledge of service changes planned by local organisations. People could opt in to answering the survey if they wanted, and it was widely  Information regarding advertised through in the press and on social media – Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. The survey had 13 questions and 75 people responded.
